Thinking about Sky diving Leprechaun's has made me happy all this week ! (Local bar has advertized this on the radio all week ) And every time I say it makes me smile ! Going camping in the mountains makes me reallllly happy,,,,going hiking early morning before everyone else is up.Coming back to the smell of coffee and breakfast being made outside mmmmmmm.....can't wait for summer. The birds singing early in the morning in spring....... Thinking about visiting my kids in southern california.... Working in the garden...... Drinking Long Island Ice Teas makes me silly happy.....

I can't stand seeing one more young person wasteing their life in the org..
by troubled mind inyesterday i had a talk with a young jw woman my family has been close to for several years.
she confided in me how she has become inactive in the ministry because she would never want to bring anyone into the unloving association of people in her hall.
at meetings she said she is constantly surpressing anger just to get through it and it has made her become a bitter angry person.

That's what I'm hoping to do . I see myself in her twenty years ago , going through the inner turmoil . I don't want to see her waste any more time in the pursuit of the lies.

Yesterday I had a talk with a young JW woman my family has been close to for several years. She confided in me how she has become inactive in the ministry because she would never want to bring anyone into the unloving association of people in her hall. At meetings she said she is constantly surpressing anger just to get through it and it has made her become a bitter angry person. She said she hates the person she is becoming. She has witnessed in our hall some major problems concerning lack of love , lying , lording over others. The problem is she only thinks this is a local problem . When I tried to ask her maybe the problem is deeper , and what if the whole organization is the problem .She was shocked I would think that .....Yet she and her hubby see no problem cruising bars , hanging out with worldly people , smoking on occasion ,cussing. Yet she still thinks the JW have the truth ....only she wants to pick and choose what to believe. I can't make sense of that ........Will her eyes ever open ?

Thanks so much Merry .I was feeling a little silly wanting a birthday party at my age , but it really is something I totally missed out on as a JW kid. We never made a party of it with our own kids . I always let them know their birthday was special to me, and they got to choose what dinner we would have that day ,and what dessert...which usually was cake. As a kind of joke last year I gave my daughter in law a decorated birthday cake ,and she and I had a good time together enjoying it. I think many witnesses really miss out on the whole point of celebrating birthdays and holidays it could be such a wonderful time for family togetherness......no one needs to lose their head over it . I work with some really fun people, and I think I will share my desire with them .I'll let you know how it goes !

Why don't Dub families have pets?
by MinisterAmos inout of a dozen or so dub families that live near me i can only think of one with a dog.
at mt ex-congo, i only knew of two families with pets, dogs/cats.
the non-dub pet owning percentage around me is near 100%.

by KW13 ini've made some progress with speaking to mum and stepdad regarding the jw org.
i think i'm making good progress because yesterday i sat down and said to mum something along the lines of.... "listen, i understand if you don't want to look at what i present to you regarding your faith, but you must wonder why i no longer go to the kingdom hall even though i had a lot of goals as a witness and things were working out for me, i was an unbaptized publisher, i had given talks from the platform and someday i wanted to be an elder.
why do you think now i go to church?.
